Today is the start of the softball season and the Crossroads team's first game is against our in-church rival, Oak Creek-Silver. Silver had a pretty good season last year, losing a tie-breaker for first with a record of 10-5. One of those five losses was to the Crossroads team. Our team will have limited available players for tonight's 7:15 game, but should be enough to cover the field.
We are going to start the season off right. First with a win, then after the final game (Green plays at 8:15 and some of the XR players might fill in for this week) we will be heading over to Gille's on 76th and Bluemound for some food. I know this post is very close to game time and I will try not to do it again. But until I can figure some things out on this blog, here is the schedule.

May 8 - 8:15+9:15 - Calvary W 11-7 W 14-13
May 15 - 8:15+9:15 - Brookfield Green L 22-12 W 16-7

May 29 - Memorial Day - No Games!
June 5 - 8:15+9:15 - OC-Silver
June 12 - 8:15+9:15 - Life Church
June 19 - 6:15 - Calvary
June 26 - 6:15 - Brookfield Green
July 3 - Independence day (eve?) - No Games!
July 10 - 7:15 - New Life
July 17 - 6:15 - New Life
Expected temperatures are supposed to be in the 60's now but with some wind. Rain is possible, but expected to hold off into the overnight hours.

- For those of you who don't know me well, I'm a 26 year old single male who lives and works on Milwaukee's fabulous East Side. I've lived in the Metro Milwaukee area my whole life, and graduated from South Milwaukee HS in '99. As of May/07, I will have been going to Oak Creek A/G for 23 years. i was disappointed in the superfans too... i feel we should cheer not only our team- but the body of Christ... and i happen to have friends on other teams that deserve me to cheer for them... no reason to take my cowbell away!
Way to take care of business guys! Congratulations on the big win. I was up in Appleton with Pastor Greg, and he wasn't the same after he heard the news. It's great to be a Crossroader!
Amy, there is no problem in cheering for other teams, but I believe that the cowbells are to be a signature of the CROSSROADS SUPERfans. I took your cowbell away because I didn't want us to become too used to you ringing it that we miss it when you leave! ;)
